Just started doing longer distances than my generic daily commutes after the winter break.
I have done approx 100 miles over 5 rides. within the fortnight.
The last 2 rides i have done i seem to be developing pain in my elbows and in my right shoulder.
Any idea why im getting these pains??
I rode more distance than that last summer and didnt get any upper body pain at all.
Just upgraded my bike so dont know if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks Guys any help advice is well appreciated.

I expect there are some slight differences in your posture on the new bike. I found the same sort of thing when I changed from my town bike to a lightweight hot-shot. It took me about 300 miles of modest rides to re-attune my body, and I've just started to get comfortable again! Mind you, I am attuning a bit of an inflexible 58 year old body to a very different bike!

seriously though ,what is your posture like on the bike, are you flexible or not?

maybe a photo of you on your bike side on would help us all give our valued opinion (or not valued in some cases )
