Cav (on his bike, don't be smart) and Bolt set of together as fast as they can. At what distance does Cav overtake Bolt?

Just before the finishing line. So it depends on the race distance.

Hi Rowdin and welcome.
There is no finish. They both go flat out until Cav overtakes Bolt and I'm just, slightly autistically, trying to figure out how long it would take.

To the OP, you fail to understand the sport of both athletes ?

Thank you

Bolts max sprint speed is 23.35mph averaged over 9.58 seconds over 100 metres, and he is running anaerobically so he will run out of puff (literally) very quickly. He trains purely for 100 and 200 metres, so over that distance and with his reaching time (0.15 seconds) he would win. I would think that beyond those distances he wouldn't stand a chance.

Unless there was a KFC near the finish line.

I imagined without doing any maths that Bolt would be ahead over 100m but would be overtaken before 200m
Edit - BTW I think Bolts maximum speed is far faster than 23.35mph. I think that may be some sort of average over 100m including reaction time and acceleration.

Is this one of those questions like, "Two trains set off from two different stations, traveling in wildly different directions, the red train sets off at 8am, the blue train sets off 20 minutes later because the driver was trying to sh1t but he was constipated so he just sat there on the porcelain throne, screaming and farting for twenty minutes, so at what time do the two trains collide horribly?"

I should have taken the word max out of the beginning of the sentence

Bit racist but I'll pretend I didn't see that...
