So sad to hear of the poor girl's death. I have a 16 year old daughter she's had a mountain bike for years,hardly used it, now she's selling it. I always wanted her to use the bike as a starter then maybe progress to a road bike,but after seeing and experiencing the idiots behind wheels out there i'm reluctantly glad she lost interest.

Thank goodness they've removed the comment function on that page. I looked this morning and there were already two comments, one of which mentioned the lack of a helmet. It then went on to say something like "lots of cyclists in Cambridge don't have lights so I wouldn't be surprised if this one didn't too". The CEN comments just get flooded with petrolhead haters.

Edit: RIP of course. Very, very sad.

There are two regular commenters in particular, who plumb the depths with their vile diatribe: Keen observer and Stoog. If Cambridge News had any decency they would report them to the police.
