Well as the title says, cycling with glasses. I wear glasses all the time (otherwise I can't see lol) so I guess I'm saying how do you peeps cope with wearing them when riding? Like when its raining ect, what do u wear to stop rain blindness? A baseball cap?

I wear a baseball cap for my commute. For other cycle rides a cycle cap is suffice. Both will help keep rain off your glasses to a certain degree.

Wear a baseball cap or cycling gap, really does work wonders.
I also wear sports specific glasses when cycling, I can change the lenses to be tinted, yellow, or half tint depending on the conditions and I have optical inserts to fit my perscription.

Sometimes in heavy rain I can see better without them so they go in the raincoat's pocket.

Just have to accept that and slow to accomadate the limitations.

Contact lenses. They work for me but I wear cycling glasses to keep debris out of my eyes as you can't really rub or poke around in your eyes when wearing contacts. When it is raining I just have to do without the protection of the glasses and manage with the naked eye (apart from the contact lense obviously).

Cycling cap under my crash helmet, works great for keeping the rain off. Would not even know which bike to get onto without them as I suffer double vision, which the glasses correct.

At the risk of being arsy I had laser surgery - transformed my life in terms of ability to do sports. Swimming now no problem, cycling zero hassle.

Lost three stone and done dozens of triathlons and my first Ironman.

If not, I would go for disposable lenses

in heavy rain the water hitting the glasses will give you a fairly good field of vision. its that fine rain i hate as i need to keep wiping them I gluesd a bit of wiper refil to a finger of my glove and that was fairly succesful.

the heavy rain we had about a month ago didn't bother me too much as the water just streamed off my specs, but i do clean em with decent cle3aning fluid that puts a film on them that helpsd water bead and run off. Peltor superclear 5061.

having rallied cars as a youngster and broken wipers mid staghe its fairly surprising what you can see through a heavy rain hit screen. I wouldn't drive a car on public roads like this

I use a German made product much like Rain-X. The water simply does not stick to the glasses at all. I wear varifocal and like you could not cycle without them.

rain X is great. I also used the anti fog stuff on the inside of the car.

If the drizzle forms a mist don't wipe both lenses at the same time. Do one, wait then the other. That way the bad vision from the point where the lens needs to be wiped until after the wiped lens has lost the streaks from wiping is only on one side at a time.
Also try riding with your head to one side and that helps the water run off the lenses.

I ride with a helmet, and one of the perks is that it has a visor which I can tilt downwards to keep the worst of the rain off. Other than that you almost get used to seeing through the rain, if you know what I mean!
I have also heard that if you clean the glasses with dishwashing liquid (and really rub it into the lenses) that it helps repel the rain. I can't see without my glasses on so am stuck really.

Cleaning the lenses with washing up liquid stops misting - handy as it starts to turn cold. I've got RX inserts which I use with Bolle Safety glasses (Silium and Contour models) as the lenses slot in nicely (discovered by accident).
