Every ride for shorts - don't want any bacteria festering down there.....

Top, sometimes every ride, sometimes not - depends how sweaty or not i get!

Daily. Rewear the ones on the way into work on the way back. Take it easy on the way in as theres no showers. Hammer it on the way back or take the senic route. Or both

OR after a longer weekend ride.

You'll all be pleased to know I've ordered some more shorts and the washing machine is on.

I'm off to have my monthly bath

Everytime you get home! (after all, commuting to work is a ride and it would not be practical to wash your kit between arriving and leaving!)

There is a world of difference between going on a 100 mile ride and then washing your kit than going on 5 x 20 mile rides (therefore 100 miles) and washing your kit, due to the fact that bacteria will breed and stay on the material.

Sorry, but no excuses, it's just plain minging not to wash your kit and, dare i say it, a typical man's attitude. you would never hear a woman say "shall i wash my kit, because i've only worn it for 20 sweaty miles?"

put your shorts in the washing machine everytime you get home. to put it bluntly ... they've been around your sweaty nads! And while we're on the subject of washing... same goes with underwear! one day is enough! don't wear them the next day as well !

Come be honest.... how many of the "all my kit after every ride" people are men who dump it in the wash basket and it magically appears all clean and fresh the next time you need it? I'm one btw..

And when you find out, could you plaese let me know too

I always wash my kits after everyride, my machine has a 'quick wash' programme, only takes 25 mins & for just a small load jersey, bibs or shorts and a pair of socks it is perfect, run it on a 1400 spin & they come out practicaly dry, 20 mins in the airing cupboard & I could wear them again, if I actualy needed - But I do have more then one set LOL!

Wow I could do with one of those, I could also do with a self hovering hover ...... maybe those JML people do one

Haha, that's a great spelling slip Phil. Now a Self Hovering Hover would be something special. As much as I love my bike, I don't think I'd bother with it if I could hover. Don't know about JML but I think I remember seeing one on Tomorrows World in 1982 lol.

Anything I value, bike stuff, diving stuff, I wash myself, Mrs Miggin's magic shrinking machine has a habit of creating new clothes for my 14 yr old daughter from my stuff!
