Which TV channels show cycling races?

I know Eurosport show a fair bit. I assume the Tour Down Under was just a one off for Sky or will they show more races?

Is there much on freeview - I seem to remember ITV4 showing TdF highlights last year - do they cover any other races?

Virtually all of the most important races either go out live or as fairly punctual highlights on Eurosport. ITV4 cover the Tour de France as highlights on the channel proper and live on the red button, plus nightly highlights of the Tour of Britain and Tour of Ireland. Sky's coverage doesn't extend much beyond the Tour Down Under, although they do show a few domestic highlights. BBC show bits of the Worlds on BBC Two and pretty much all of it live on the red button.

Eurosport gives you a much better commentary than the other stations for both their better knowledgeability and the viewer/commentator live e-mail interaction (which will never be used more than at the forthcoming bore-fest that is the Tour of Qatar).

If you've got a sat dish check out freesat as well as freeview. If you've got Sky + you can now get freesat and freeview players which will give you live pause, recording, etc.

Like you, I'm thinking about trying the eurosport player, to view online. I wonder if anyone here has got it, and what they think of it?
