Hello from Wokingham - cycling novice!

Hi I'm Sara from Wokingham and am about to buy a bike under the bike to work scheme with a £300 budget. I will be using it for Weekend cycles on roads and paths and would like a hybrid. I viewed a Carreira Crossfire 1 in Halfords which seemed good at £250 down from £350 however thought I should do a little research before purchasing hence why I am here. Any advice would be appreciated? Many thanks Sara.

Welcome to this superb site. Excellent scheme, hit on lucky with my hybrid two years ago, but word of warning ⚠ very addictive. Good advice to over do on extra's, I'm forever buying bits and pieces. You buy cheap you buy twice is about the best advice i can offer.

You could have a look at Decathlon in Reading too, you can at least ride the bikes around their store a bit they have reasonably priced stuff and clothing too
