Cycling down the A3

I take it you have never been on that part of the A3? - Narrow lanes - No hard shoulder - 3 lanes full of traffic @ 50mph plus - side roads joining and leaving in addition to major roundabout junctions with steep underpasses.

It's not overly pleasant but it's not hell on earth. I must admit I'm not a huge fan of cycling across slip roads joining on so I either just steadfastly hold my line or dive across them as soon as there's a clear gap.
