I am not a great fan of over-the-top shootouts that films have increasingly resorted to, which are little more than internet games. Too much wham-bang-thank you ma'am.

I prefer Gunfight at the OK Corral (1957 version) and 3.10 to Yuma, also the 1957 version. Sorry Drago, but even the later versions deserve to be on your list.

This is brilliant cinema - but it's a cheat to put a simulation in this contest. Sorry.

Of the OFFICIAL shortlist, I've seen 3. (and I'm proud of that, godammit!) Unforgiven is easily the best film.
But I don't recall the shootout in much detail, whereas Heat's shootout still lingers in the memory. So that gets my vote.
