When I worked for the Department of Work and Pensions I fancied a new bike under this scheme but the DWP has decided not to take part in it. The large office where I worked had zero facilities for cyclists, not even a bike shed. It's amazing that such a huge organisation, which is part of the government, can't even be bothered to take cycling seriously, despite all the government propaganda about the benefits of cycling and the importance of getting more people cycling to work.
