hi all have a question about tyres and tubes went out last night on ride and had a puncture and as I'm a newbie didn't have any tools or kit to fix bike so called the misses and she picked me up 10miles from home. Question is fixed puncture today and went out an hour later with the kids around the block and tube exploded i guess that it was over inflated said 110psi on dial should it be lower? i have new tube to fit, and yes I've brought some kit to take out in the future

You trapped the tube under the bead of the tyre when you fitted it and it let go shortly after riding on it. 110psi would not damage a tyre.

Tip to stop it happening again (and to stop your ears ringing). Put abit of air in the tube (1-2 pumps) before putting it under the tyre, work the bead around and when the tyre is fully on push up the bead and have a look round the tyre to check the tube isnt sticking out anywhere, do this on both sides
