Curly Wurly or Chomp?

One Christmas morning when I was 5 or 6, I extracted a Curly Wurly from my selection box and took a bite. It pulled one of teeth loose and left me in agony and I suffered agony for a few days until the dentist re-opened after holidays. By that time I had an abcess.

I have never eaten a Curly Wurly ever since. They should come with a government health warning. Won't someone please think of the children!

You can still get it in Australia https://www.cadbury.com.au/Products/Old-Gold-Blocks/Cadbury-Old-Gold-Old-Jamaica-Block.aspx but it's clearly not the same product, despite them having the same packaging back in the day. The aussie version uses dark chocolate, that is also found around a Cherry Ripe.
