I have about 6 pairs in my drawer alongside the bed, okay I've not worn them in 6 months but I would normally wear some in more traditional working times. About half my work shirts have double cuffs. I don't always wear a tie, but cufflinks are a nice accessory.

I’m on your side @Toshiba Boy i love cuff links because they look elegant and you can promote your interests with them, but you you can see by the majority of comments that the move now is away from formal dress which I think is a shame.
I agree about the move away from formal dress, but i wear cufflinks with tweed jackets, dark blue jeans or corduroy pants and tan brogue shoes. All those aren't formal, but i think cufflinks also go with such clothes.

French cuffs are de riguer when dealing with bankers, lawyers etc. I've worn them for 25 years and never wear button cuff shirts
I must own about 30 pairs but none of those awful "humorous" cufflinks. Used to own about same number of ties but had a clear out and down to about a dozen

Having said that I haven't worn any for months as WFH

I have never owned cuff links and probably never will as I would never really have the opportunity to wear them. They can look nice and elegant.

I have never had a job for which I have had to dress really smart (and I'm pleased about that really) but on occasions I do actually enjoy getting booted and suited on occasions and do very occasionally wear a tie if I think it would be appropriate and not too pretentious. I fancy getting myself a hat sometimes.

Disagree to an extent. I felt so stifled in the corporate uniform but cufflinks were a tiny bit of identity I was allowed to retain.

I haven't worn a long sleve shirt since March nor proper pair of shoes, good god the world has turned to crap.
I have worn my handmade Penny Loafers and DM's twice and long trousers and proper shirt about 5 times!
Shorts, old Tees, walking sandals. That's it!

Because my work is in food factories and labs and 90% abroad I need quite a collection of 'work clothes' hanging in the wardrobe - about 2 weeks supply that have not seen the light of day. If I lose any more weight I may have to restock - assuming we ever get to travel again....

I have several sets of cufflinks but none I bought. They all came as corporate gifts from time to time and in my formal working days I did sometimes wear them but those days are long gone.
I often wore a kilt but tended to a more informal look with a tweed jacket and no cufflinks.
