Completely disgusted with the news that the CTC HQ have unilaterally decided to change the name of our organisation. No consultation with the members, not even a communication to the members, just a press release.

Id never heard of CTC until i joined this site..

the new name looks more cycling attention grabbing to me..good move i say

The CTC has been round almost since the first bicycle and the name is known by everybody, even if they've never ridden a bike in their lives. What on earth is the point of changing it?

Like i said @Smokin Joe ive not heard of it .... neither will millions of others who ride bikes but take no intrest in the rest of the cycling world..and organisations.

I see where you're coming from, but it might just work. A name is just a name.
If it gets more people joining then it's worked (it might not though)

I wonder what the rebrand will cost?

The CTC was exclusive to bicycles,a rebel group broke away and formed the RAC,to support motorists in the same way as the CTC supported cycling
