Wyatt Jones Ecclestone will have a go this morning and try and put some pressure back on the aussies. but 152 is looking a long way off a the moment, that flurry of wickets late yesterday was damaging.

Not to be sadly, but a great performance. I'm sure I read that the England side practise fielding indoors and that's why they aren't as comfortable diving or something. Could have totally misremembered that though!

Big day for Scotland's world cup qualifying hopes - playing Sri Lanka. whilst both are thru to super 6 qualifying round, as points carry thru and only 2 from 6 ultimately qualify, a win gives them a big boost and a loss makes it very tricky to qualify with Windies, Zim and Netherlands still to face (and Oman who they have already beaten)

BTW the Netherland beat The Windies yday, they almost chased down 375, having tied the scores on the penultimate ball, but the Windies took a catch of the last ball to force a super over. Ned then smashed 30 off the super over and the Windies didnt...

Big day for Scotland's world cup qualifying hopes - playing Sri Lanka. whilst both are thru to super 6 qualifying round, as points carry thru and only 2 from 6 ultimately qualify, a win gives them a big boost and a loss makes it very tricky to qualify with Windies, Zim and Netherlands still to face (and Oman who they have already beaten)

Very good bowling effort in the latter stages from Scotland, they pulled SL back from 200-4 @39 overs to 246 all out in the last over.

Yes it wouldn't be so bad if thee were two places available to the minor nations, but by throwing in WIndies and Sri Lanka and still only 2 places its a bit of a mockery of it being a "world cup". really poor decision by the ICC to cut down the number of places in the cup proper, it would have been better to tweak the format to keep the number of games more manageable.

I hadn't known this, but apparently the World Cup will have 14 teams at it in 2027. Not sure if they're changing qualifying too, but I think that's a good thing.
