I managed to link to Flickr, but that still left having to click on the link to open it. I agree, the site is much slicker.

If you go via the photo icon, there's the post via link there. There's also a 'media' option, but not sure what compression goes on there.

I can always rely on Brian to sort these things out. I didn't notice that link icon. Thanks, nice work.
I've swapped the picture to a linked version (Flickr). Better, but not that noticeable with that particular style.

A very photogenic church: Sherborne Abbey. And the old Sony did the biz.

Yep, plum is quite early

Interesting that the sculptor put so much effort into the ruff collars and then just did sausage arms.

Waddya want... bulging biceps on a woman?

Actually, I thought this one was rather plain - no lace, the ruffs feel rather formulaic. I suspect it's a combination of the woman's wardrobe, a limited budget and limited skill.

This, at Cadeleigh, is how it's done. Those sleeves on the woman just can't be made of stone. And look at how the ruff dips because of the weight of the starched fabric. (I really ought to go back and do more photographs of this monument.)

Not necessarily bulging, but arms do have muscles over a skeleton. It's not a tube of fabric filled with stuffing and like you say, I think they couldn't quite afford the top guy.

It looks like sausage arms were a thing in the 16th century...

Went for a walk with the wife today. Merely confirmed that "nice" is not necessarily photogenic.
Anyway, shooting at midday never is the best for light so I thought I'd try B&W. As I shoot in RAW it is easy to do a comparison so what's the opinion; B&W or colour? Not fussy either way but it is nice to get other's opinions.

I’ll be back to bore you when we next get clear skies. I need to finally make use of my star tracker (I was missing a second ballhead on my last excursion).
