Creaking - The Bike not me - headset?

Mine was sorted last week by taking to the local shop. He took apart what he called the bottom bar and I think of as a crank. There was no problem with it and the bearing was fine but he applied a bit of grease reassembled and job done.
I now no longer creak and what a treat

I was re-reading this post and thats interesting. My old Via Nirone used to flex at the BB. Is the 2007 the pre C2C one OldGrey ? If it is, just upturn the bike and have a close look at the weld where the downtube meets the BB...mine cracked. Unlikely, but maybe worth a lookee...
I had the occasional cracking and creaking when i was out of the saddle, took me ages to work it out.

That looks like a square taper BB, mines a C2C frame which originaly had the FSA Omega chainset and BB, I now have the SRAM GXP BB and Apex chainset, so not quite the same. I did go check the weld there though, it seems OK.

I'll undo the cranks, regrease the BB shells and torque it all back up just in case

I recently had a horrible creak on my hybrid, only when standing up and pulling up on the bars on a steep hill.

Couldnt see any problems with the bars so took of the stem and looked at all that, no problems were obvious, cleaned greased and reassembled it all and no more creak.

I have a two week old hybrid and I've noticed a sound. I'll let the bike shop find it when it gets six week check. Sounds like my noise could be pedals. Love the bike though

New pedals and taking off the rattling wheel reflectors solved the problem!!

Like fossyant mentions check the stem bar interface. Pop a bit of grease onto this before reassembly and make sure the bolts are tightened to the correct torque plus make sure the bolts are tightened evenly so the cap to stem spacing is even
