We have noticed our Cat does a crazy flat out lap of the house including the stairs every time he has been in the cat tray and left us a present !!!

He has been doing it for a few months now anybody else's feline friend do something similar ?

Not ours. Maybe he eats vindaloo and forgets to put a loo roll in the fridge?

Our cats use a loo I made them in the corner of the garden. When it's raining they can cross the lawn almost faster than the eye can see.

This is Edgar two days ago having discovered he fits into the glass fruit bowl

Oh heck, they are awake and fuelled. They are currently in the cat run with step brother Leo. Big Tiggy has gone out (our 11 year old big Tortie - grumpy and antisocial).

My last cat used to do this. She would balance with all four paws on the edge of the tray, make the deposit then go into the tray, cover it over. She would then take off like a rocket spraying litter everywhere.

Neither of mine do that. But here, the litter tray shenanigans are as follows:

Poppy uses the tray and covers everything.

Lexi uses the tray and covers nothing.

Poppy comes behind and covers up Lexi's leavings.

Trouble is, Poppy likes to dig to Australia.

I regularly find litter all over the carpet and poop nuggets in odd corners.

Our cat is now too old to be running anywhere he's just turned 18. Doesn't seem to have the strength to cover over the poop in the tray or garden these days . Even the birds have returned to the garden.

If i head towards the stairs then its a full on race to get to the top first no matter what part of the house she is in . This can include skidding across the wood floor and then running on the spot a bit until she gets a grip . at the top of the stairs there is normally a half forward roll with a corkscrew resulting in her head on the floor and her back up going up the door .
If i run up the stairs then she just sits at the bottom and looks at me like ive told her off .
