Posted this before but it's quite interesting because Hank's version was so successful that everyone* thinks he wrote it.

*everyone who listens to this sort of shoot that is.

Same as this song, I'll post the original because the cover is crap and John Fogerty is a leg-end.

How about Dave Philips & The Hot Rod Gangs version???
It's Mark Harman from the rockabilly band Restless on lead guitar (great guitar break @ 1.30)

And....in comparison, there's this version from an animated series; 'The Batman' http://worldsfinestonline.com/WF/thebatman/

Although it was definately nowhere near as good as the 'Dark Deco' 'Batman; The Animated Series' of the 90's, this one; http://worldsfinestonline.com/WF/batman/btas/

Devo's satisfaction that set off this thread is a superb cover. I like The Clash version of I Fought the Law, I quite enjoy Bobby Fullers jangly guitar version too and think the Flying Lizards version of Money is head and shoulders above the Beatles.

I prefer the versions Johnny Cash did of One & Personal Jesus more than his take on Hurt - I'd have loved to hear him do Hurt in his pomp and really ramp the anger as well as the resignation into it
Money - Barrett Strong. covered by the scouse no marks:smile:
