Connecting a Presta pump to a Schrader tyre valve

Hi

Had a decent cycle pump given for christmas, but only just discovered its a presta pump and my bike has schrader valves, company will not take back, had a look on the net for connectors/convertor but I can't see anything. Can anyone help, tell me were I can find something, to use this pump on my bike.

My pumps have a little adaptor thingy in the end that you can unscrew and turn round to fit the other type of valve. Worth a look?

Any bike shop will have one it's a little brass thingy, costs about £1.50 but wheeliebin is right as well see if you can turn the rubber grommet round.

I think one of these - http://www.decathlon.co.uk/universal-flexible-adapter-id_5553480.html - will do the job if a simple Presta-Schräder valve adapter won't fit into your pump.

EDIT: though it looks as if Rockymountain's one will do the job fine.

Hmm. According to a website selling them it has

" The reversible valve connection system is hidden behind a cover to keep the dirt out and push fits securely onto any valve "

So you should be able to switch it round.

Buy a couple of the brass adapters and leave them screwed (firmly) on your valves.

Looks like brass adaptor then, the sks web page does say its reversible, but looking at it, it may be another pump.
