Weirdest one I have had was many years ago. I woke one morning and asked my wife how her friend was after her car crash, clearly, in my mind, remembering a conversation from the previous evening. It quickly became clear that the conversation had never taken place and her friend had not been in a car crash.

Fast forward to that evening my wife received a call from the husband of her friend telling her that the friend had been in a nasty car crash, on the way home from work that afternoon, and was being treated in hospital for a number of injuries, none life threatening.

that is seriously weird - may be a premonition - may you 'have the sight'

I thought that I had already posted this story here, but it was in another thread a few years ago...

Once, when I was a student, in the days before mobile phones (and not having a landline in my flat), I went to the call box down the road to make my weekly call to my mum. I dialled her number, there was a delay, some funny noises and then I got the ring tone...

Eventually the phone was answered but the female on the other end sounded like a 17 year old English girl rather than a 60 year old Scottish woman. I asked why she was putting on that strange voice, and she got a bit funny and demanded to know if I was Colin. A strange conversation ensued in which each of us tried to get the other to stop messing about and talk normally. It took a while for us to realise that we actually weren't talking to the right people. Turns out that the girl's boyfriend - obviously also named Colin - used to call her at that time most evenings from a different call box down the road. Pretty freaky huh?

Well, what was even freakier was that when I finally made contact with my mother, she had a weird tale to tell me of getting a call from a young man called Colin who thought he was talking to his girlfriend. A strange conversation had ensued in which each of them tried to get the other to stop messing about and talk normally. It took a while for them to realise that they actually weren't talking to the right people...

Ha ha - in reality the answer was less interesting!

12 years ago I developed a DVT in my left leg which permanently damaged the vein so I am no longer comfortable sitting upright. I have to sit back and elevate my legs on a footstool to stop the bad leg swelling up. So there I was, legs on top of the footstool, adjacent to a coffee table, with my tablet resting on that. My sister called me from the next room so I jumped up to go and see what she wanted. I caught the tablet as I did so, causing it to tumble across the floor!

Yes that makes sense - but I did enjoy my recollection of John Cleese and the Ministry of Silly Walks

A similar thing happened to me several years ago. I saw somebody riding towards me on a Vespa and I thought to myself, "He's going to come off that." A few seconds after I passed him I heard a thump and looked in my rear-view mirror. He was lying on the road and the scooter was sliding along it.
