Sky reckon it will take several days to fix every box because a software update needs to be sent which they can only do so many at a time.

Mine was still wrong this morning, although unlike some customers, I cannot get vexed about it.

Just seen this and noticed that Pale Rider hasn't posted since last January.🤔

I have a list in my diary:

Lounge mantlepiece
Bedroom
Heart rate monitor
Mobile phone
Desktop phone
Voice recorders x2

Now unused: 2nd HRM, cycle computer
Automatic: PVR/Heating/Laptop

HRM? Why does that have a clock in it?

And how old is your mobile phone - I haven't had one that doesn't change itself for about 20 years now.

Clocks not changed yet other than the auto ones. We will get there eventually though car clock had often been left till clocks change again some years.

True to form. A hour fast on the analogue European time signal click. Told it to receive, changed to its default 11 o'clock and then received the time signal and went back to an hour fast. A digital one which is on the same time signal has corrected itself automatically.

Just the cooker, microwave, wall clock and digital wetware station thing here. Everything else is automatic. None of us wear analogue watches any more so that’s also off the menu.

I used to hate the autumn hour change because on some clocks the only option to go back an hour was to go forward 23 hours. None of those left now.

Really? Just log time as GMT / UST all the time then localise it for display, and problem solved

Yes, really. It was getting better with FIFO logs within devices. But, now with so many interconnected systems, it all requires careful management as many of the PC based solutions automatically change their time whereas a lot of medical devices still require manual changes.

I think I remember my folks telling me it was bad for the mechanism of a mechanical clock to wind it backwards, but I'm not sure whether that was true or not?

No idea if that’s true, but at least that would only be 11 hours. I guess if the mechanism is fully-wound and you turn the hands back you are effective adding more tension to the clock spring. There may also be some issue with which way drive goes through the gears.

You fast forwarded through Sunday into Monday?
