this has spurred me to go home and give my bike a good clean down, long overdue it is too! I hear rubbing down the chain with a damp cloth and then re-lubing should do the world of good, so will clean the frame down then move onto that. Love the wash and wax plan too - will be giving that a go.

Looking forward to riding to work with newly pumped tyres, well oiled gears and shiny frame tomorrow!

Think it's like washing a car. It always seems faster afterwards and puts a smile on your face

Just a tip - I'd do the chain first as cleaning and re-lubricating invariably gets other parts of the bike dirty. I always do the chain first then everything else.
