I was a bit ignorant to the need to clean my chain, cassette on my old cheap bike. I used to clean the bike but oil on top of old oil and gunk. After some shop assistant words of advice I now clean my new bike thoroughly every week, cassette and chain. I love the chain cleaner device and the gear change after cleaning is magical, like a Swiss watch.

The chain and cassette will last longer to.

What brand of bike frame and chain cleaner everyone use?

Bike frame cleaner not needed. Water with a small squirt of washy up liquid, bit of elbow grease, rinse and wipe dry then Mr Sheen it for a nice shiny finish.
Chain Cleaner not needed. (unless you are doing that nasty muddy off roading nonsense)
Wipe, Lube, Wipe. Lube, Wipe will clean your chain.

I use car shampoo, just because I've got a large bottle and rarely wash the car.

Plus one, but I use car "wash and wax", not washing up liquid.

For the frame I use baby wipes to get off any obvious dirt, then a spray of GT85 leaves it gleaming.

Most washing up liquids contain salt, so I'd avoid using it. Had some of that Muc-Off spray but my car shampoo (no wax built in) seems to do a really good job.

Provided that I haven't been lazy and left it for a while, Tesco value baby wipes work an absolute treat everywhere, including the chain.
