Essentially the slow-death of the entire, unsustainable neo-liberal capitalist consumptive economic / social model (and far more importantly the associated destruction and misery this will cause).

Looks like you timed your birth quite well as it's all downhill from here!
I hate the over reliance on credit. Money is too easy to borrow.
Too many people have new cars on loans. Holidays on credit card and mortgages that are unaffordable.
There could be a lot of financial pain in the next 12 months and interest rates are almost zero and have been too low for a decade. They need to be about 5%.

Reality TV being used as a vehicle to propel mediocre narcissists into the public consciousness
"Journalism" being about chasing sensationalist ratings and/or fuelling corporate agendas when it's supposed to be about serious, quiet investigation and holding power to account

A motorway being built through the fields I used to run around like a Glaswegian version of the Little House on the Prairie intro
"Progress" being measured as having a McDonald's, a KFC and a massive shopping centre within walking distance
The total dominance of car culture, the loss of streets as commons, leading to the death of the game of kerbie

Loan interest rates are still around 4% above B of E base rate so the the rich are still making money.
