Last time I need a ring I telephoned them as I was unsure of the size I needed. If I knew what I wanted then the website is fine, but the OP was unsure of fit.

fair do's - they do have a certain reputation for being brusque on the phone (pressure of time/staffing/being yorkshire - never been sure which) though I must say I found them very helpful and nice once when buying some wheels like a novice.

why do you say this? you don't normally need as you power up hills, or because it's quite often steel?

As I said, they are fine just now, was just looking to have some in supply. I like to keep a little supply of chains, cassettes, brake pads, cables etc. Never swapped chain rings but started thinking and looking into it and realised I couldn't find much.
