easiest way for chain length is big front ring big rear sprocket add 2 links . thats what shimano and SRAM say on all of the chains and tech stuff for transmissions.
That is absolutely perfect. In big/big you want the jockey to bend forward no more than 45 degrees and in small/small it must bend back no more than just below horizontal. That setup is perfect.

Thanks all. Took it out for a test ride earlier and it shifted fine so I was happy. Now I see Yellow Saddle describing it as perfect so I'm extremely pleased! Guess I was worried about nowt. Cheers for all the help / suggestions, it is genuinely appreciated.
