I may live in a hovel (flat), but the coldest it ever gets down to without any heating in 18c
I am in a 150 year old end-terrace building so the insulation isn't good, and I only have one wall insulated by a neighbouring property. I also have a bloody chilly cellar directly under this room so the floor gets cold (I've just put a big rug down and it is helping reduce that problem.) I have seen temperatures as low as 2-3 degrees in here when I come down in the morning if I haven't had the heating on. I am getting a £140 winter grant help with fuel bills now so I have been using the timer to switch the heating on at 08:30. That makes a big difference. It is usually about 16 degrees by the time I surface and then it rises a bit...
18c is just right.
I agree, and that is my target if by myself. If I had guests in non-Covid winters, I would let the temperature go up to about 19.5 degrees, but don't like it any higher.

Heating has been on since September in our household. Had it off today and the doors open as plumber was draining and flushing the system, fitting new radiator valves and a replacement radiator. It got down to about 13 degrees before I cracked and put the portable heater on to keep me warm while I worked they cracked on.

Heating set at abut 17c, been on constant for a few months, even now the radiators are just luke warm. My Ribble 653 is sat curing near the main radiator - all painted, but the paint is still soft so I'll leave it inside the house for a couple of weeks to harden before re-building.

Heating now on here in HK. Very cold weather from China hitting us now.

Not central heating of course, two really nice fan heaters though. Bought a new winter duvet yesterday as well.

Just put mine on,albeit low(ish). It's dropped down to a mere 73.4 Fahrenheit. I'm feeling the cool,damp air.:cold:

That's 23C in new money, that's just a shocking waste of energy and resources. Our heating won't come on until temp has dropped below 18C (64f) and even then it's only first thing so you can get dressed into something suitable, perhaps you should try long sleeves and long trousers...

On briefly but good to see it working still & pressure is fine etc. Warm again after after the rain cleared.
