Have I led a sheltered life or something? I've never seen coke or come across it. Ever. I only know one person who has, and that was at a party with some of her dodgy mates.

I feel slightly deprived and a little rustic. Anyone else the same?

nope, me neither. some people i knew at uni used to do a lot of e. i don't what it did to them when they took it, but bejesus it made their conversation boring as it became all they talked about :yawn:

i learned all about the various effects of psychoactive drugs when i did my psychology degree, so i've never felt the need for anything stronger than the odd spliff…

Tried some when I was younger.

Hurt my nose for days and actually, couldn't stop giggling. Nothing to do with the coke but I was thinking of Woody Allen taking Coke and sneezing it all over the place (sorry, can't remember the film)

But, I have seen a few ex-friends destroy themselves through this stuff. Probably why I'm so anti-drugs now

I'm not particularly anti-drug, it's just that coke is talked about as if it's everywhere. God alone knows what I'd be like if I did try it. Awful I suspect...

I've never used coke. It's too hot for our stove. Anthracite's ok though.

I'm with Chuffy I'm afraid, never seen it; not even sure I know anyone who has used it. It must be different in champagne socialist circles.

Saw an guy snort coke when I was in sixth form. When he flopped to the ground and started jerking someone who knew him revealed he was an epileptic. I don't know if there is a link or not or if he was particularly afflicted (he 'came to' after 10 minutes or so and was very shaky) but the whole experience scared the bejesus out of me and some part of my subconscious must have connected the two events so I have never been inclined to touch the stuff.

Add that to the fact that (not all but the vast majority of) people I've come across on coke have to be the most boring, self-referential, flat 'wits I've had the displeasure of talking to. At least talking to pissheads is kind of funny as long as they don't hit you and stoners sometimes hit on a goldmine of humour.
