Here's the slightly modified route we took to POP last year (avoiding the A89 through Airdrie).
I was thinking I could meet you in Dunfermline too (as long as your happy to slow down a bit from your usual pace I've seen on your recent rides ). I did wonder about cycling from Kirkcaldy but suspect Mrs_Grieve wouldn't be happy to be left alone with the little Grieves for so long. If I do go then I'll probably drive to Dunfermline then cycle from there.
Oi!
What's wrong with 50s?
Hmmmm.
I can't cycle this route via the canal from mine to Linlithgow as it goes over the aqueduct.
The last time I tried to go this way I couldn't cross it and had to turn back (I seriously freaked out, lucky hubby was with me)
I may look at cycling on the road (something that fills me with dread!) otherwise I could bring the bike on the train, say hello, then cycle round the Loch before heading home.
Ah, I'll look at that.@ScotiaLass - do you mean the aqueduct on the way into Linlithgow from the Falkirk direction?
I think you can start off along the Canal until you get to the bridge where the B825 crosses it and join the road there. From what's been said earlier (Rasmus's route map link) it looks like the Westies contingent would come along that road anyway and could escort you for the last couple of miles to the cafe ...
That's Comanche territory........Slightly off-topic question from further east ... what's wrong with Airdrie?
Wild west stuff?
T
Rules, nobody gets left behind, they would go at your pace, you will cycle faster in a group, cycling is much easier in a groupAh, I'll look at that.
I couldn't keep up in a group, better cycling at my own pace
