I really hope there is no wind :bravo:
I doubt your wish will be granted...

The good news is that the route is so meandering that we shouldn't have a full-on headwind for any extended length of time.

If it's anything like the 500 you would download the file approriate to the 200 (GPX track????) onto your computer, attach the 200 via USB and then copy the downloaded file into the "New Files" folder. When you power on the 200 it should convert the file into a course it can recognise. However I seem to remember creating a .crs file for the 500, so I'm not 100% sure. You can only give it a try and see how it goes.

From my experience i'm pretty sure this should work  I was going to do the same but then remembered i'll be coming from home and going back home and cba mapping it out

Tracks ?

I've had so much failure tryimng to get Tracks/Routes on to my eTrex Vista, I was all for selling it ... until my mate @glasgowjim showed me a simple way t'other week.

Use Bikehike; draw track; Options - OSM maps, <500 trackpoints; Save Route - gpx track, Title, Download to GPS unit; [plug in Garmin]; Download Route

It then appears in the Tracks folder; Trackback .... pray !

Experimented yesterday, big trial tomorrow ...

When I tested out a route I'd uploaded on my Garmin 500 in Cornwall I got about 2 miles in and it told me "wrong way!" - ok, I'll turn left then, it bleeped again "wrong way!" - eh, ok, there is only left or straight on so I continued to the left - about 15 miles later after numerous twists and turns by me and NOTHING from the Garmin it bleeped "back on track" - I was almost back at the bloody campsite!

I haven't tried to follow a trail since...

Are you saying that once you've copied the file into the New Files folder you can't see it once the transfer is complete?

Once you've powered the Garmin on and it's converted it to a course then it's automatically deleted and a .fit file is then in the "Courses" folder (think that's what it's called).

It may be that the 200 doesn't like files from rwGPS?

EDIT: From the 200 manual - "Garmin recommends that you use Garmin Connect (page 7) to create courses. You can then transfer the courses to your Edge."

This may be your best bet!!!
