I was told I had to go back to work after having a couple of hours off to inter my Mum's ashes (that was 1991 - I was working for the NHS!!)

there is a house I occasionally ride past, and there is sometimes a bloke in the window (the full kit on, helmet the lot) riding an exercise bike like in this cartoon - and we acknowledge each other with one of these little waves that cyclist do when we pass on the road - it always leaves me puzzled for a mile or two. he is better and more appropriately dressed than I am
