Reminds me of stopping to ask directions to a hotel on STroud (I think) many years ago with my Dad

The bloke seemed to know where the hotel was but the directions were

"Drive down this hill to the roundabout - turn left
then take the next 5 lefts and the hotel is 100 yards down the road on the left"

This was before sat navs so we had to believe him

and he was dead right - although we were rather dubious at the time!

"You can't miss it. Just follow this road for a while, then turn left a quarter of a mile before you come to the bridge that's not there any more..."
