Here we are folks more pics. just for good measure l photographed the Brooks saddle as well as the seat tubes.
In my opinion the Brooks is a perfect example of the beauty of great design !

Here's another one to add to your dictionary of bike terminology 'wrap around seat stays'. Oh, and the piece that goes across which holds the rear brake is a 'bridge'. Not sure of the correct term for the guide that the cable passes through but I'm sure someone will tell us.
 
What l want to do is clean it up and possibly replace headset and bottom bracket bearings, try to deal with rusty chrome on forks ...how l don't yet know !!
Get as much info from all you experts and then go for a few gentle rides when the weather gets better.
I use Hammerite rust removing gel on my rusty bits and find that it works well. I have heard some people say that they use Tomato Ketchup, I haven't tried that. I've found that the gel will loosen and soften the rust on chrome leaving the chrome fine underneath when you wash it off.

+1 for Hammerite, it works miracles on chrome wheels

How about Large Flange Aluminium hubs. I may have to go and have a lie down.
