Wow - That's amazing. I had no idea that Jack Hearne was a local proper cyclist.
That article is brilliant. I know Stoke Poges really well. The bike hasn't travelled far at all. I bought it from the wife of a chap in Slough who had ridden it for years.
I've had the bike for probably just over 20 years. I'm so glad I took a photo of the frame sticker.

Yes, I love the colour too. For a bike that's sat in my shed for far too many years, doing absolutely nothing, I've got terribly sentimental about it all of a sudden!

Have just done a bit more research. Jack died down in Blandford Forum in around 2010/11 as far as i can gather.

Polish it, lube it and ride it. That is a smashing bike. Rub a bit of proofhide on the saddle to feed the leather up and make sure you wear black shorts (voice of experience of ruined britches)
