I'm a bit OCD about the car/bike - ask skolly !
Same as that usually - the current situation results predominently from having nowhere suitable to wash the car.. otherwise it'd probably be at least markedly less manky than it is currently.

Some of the new stuff is pretty magic (i.e. low effort). Remember when waxes were really hard to buff off. My latest gadget is an under body spray attachment for the Karcher, especially now I'm knackered ! Saves bending.

I use a wash mitt on a pole thing from Amazon. No bending over or leaning to extend my reach.

Back in the days of ownership of nice cars worthy of some attention, I was a fan of AutoGlym's range of products. These days I own a 10 year old Suzuki S-Cross thing. If it's lucky it gets a hose down at work, followed by a brush over using a bucket of cold water with a squirt of industrial detergent in it. Then a rinse with the hose. Basically the same regime as the works 2 people carriers for which I have responsibility for cleaning.
I still use AutoGlym products, but that effort is reserved for the motorbike. 😄

Bilt Hamber Touchless snowfoam is the best I've used as a pre wash, dwell for a couple of minutes & 95% of the muck rinses straight off. BH Korrosol for the wheels. BH Autowash for the contact clean. Using up some Meguiars ceramic detailer for the drying wipe.
