FFS. I'm haven't said anything controversial. The Ultimate is a racing bike. A very good one. If you think your bike handling skills are such that you could win a crit on a tourer, good for you, go for it. If a tourer is actually what you're looking for instead of a racer, great, get a tourer instead.

Spoke to a guy yesterday who ordered an Ultimate in June. The estimated delivery time was August - it turned up in three days.

I had a look at the canyonUK twitter feed and there are no recent "where's my order" tweets which suggests things are back on track.

To encourage me to shop online rather than at bricks and mortar there has to be a combination of better price and confidence in seller. Canyon lost my confidence unfortunately; can't knock them on price though.
