Thanks for that, but wowsers! It's not something I'd expect from Shimano. Unless Canyon knowingly fitted a knackered chainset, I'd say they're not responsible for that issue at least. However, I wasn't especially impressed with elements of the fettling of my Canyon when I took delivery as the saddle wasn't clamped to the seat post anything like correctly.Yes. What happened? There's a slight gap between the central spider and the chainrings. It's how it's meant to be. 'cracked through' at exactly the same point on each of the 4 arms of the spider. It's the join.Yes. Ultegra, cracked through. It is the only photo I have of it.
I would rather one put one's trust in one's own steering skills.
