And therein lies the problem. A buyer risks choosing their bike on the basis of a guess.

from what I understand, you can view / check the fit of the bikes at their offices in London.

I went on the live chat, and would have bought a Canyon if they could ensure that the handlebar height could be adjustable (it's too low down for me) .... the chap on the live help was not sure and I ended up buying an S-Works instead on the same day as I got a very good deal

I still like the Canyon though

Can you ride one round their office in London?

I only discovered a Ribble was unsuited to me after a ride. Luckily I was able to borrow it to try, else it would have been an expensive error.

many thanks for all responses.

yes, I am taking a risk as I cannot test ride any of these bikes. I checked canyon website and it says you can test ride a bike in Germany where showroom is. I didn’t find showroom address in UK.

am I missing something?

As above , you need to try them.

I have a Cinelli Saetta 2014 model, with Campag gearing Miche every thing else,

Imho it's a great bike, great for all day long riding, since ownership I've not changed anything, the seat is comfortable and the wheels are great.
Would I recommend it, for all my needs, yes I would.

Hi
First thing.
I took the photo above, was when I first got the bike, the seat height was set the way I always used to set the bike seat heights.
Then I had a Retul bike fit, a lot of money, but well worth it, ,the seat was moved upwards 45mm, hence why I am

posting another photo.
My height is 180cm and the bike is 52cm (bottom bracket to top of seat post)

Another point,
this is my best bike, so it never goes out in the winter or in damp conditions.

many thanks for info. i am 176cm and was advised by wiggle to get 52 as well. size down is 48 and seems too small but i am not sure about 52 either. it think i will need to fit shorter stem. do you know what is the stem length on your cinelli, is it 120mm?

Right

The stem is 110mm c to c. Cinelli own.

The tip of the seat to the center of the bars is 52cm.

Hope this helps.
