BMX has been collected and is now sitting in my garage..... Spares or repair is an apt description... frame and wheels good but all cabling and brake leavers trashed. Calipers are okay which might get used.

Next job is to strip wheels down then take cones and bearing races into work to get threaded bar the right diameter and also bring home a mahoosive plank of wood home when I next go in the car

The sack truck wheels are pretty small and definitely narrower.... so should look okay... the wheel barrow wheels are fatter if I have to resort to them.

I can't remember putting any brakes on the ones we made..... but was thinking of them to appease Mrs V..... was thinking of using the calipers that are on the donor bike but cables are scrap and levers not there!

Problem with brakes, when there's only one person onboard. They've to let go of the rope and locate the brake lever, loosing some control whilst doing so.

I'll start a thread in photo gallery when it really gets under way...

I've done some sketches of a steering system.... not sure yet might go with rope steer to start with to get it on the road then upgrade it later...
