Vision team 30's from Planetx are a decent entry level wheel.

I bought a pair for £149 from their Worsborough store, in December (Listed at £299, down to £260 on Evans website!)
Barring a little 'incident' a couple of weeks ago, they're superb for the price, they roll well, take a fair bit of punishment on some of Yorkshires roads

For budget wheels, I recommend Shimano rs10. Just make sure you re-grease the bearings. The wheels perform very well and are OK for heavier riders even with the few spokes these wheels come with!

Not the hubs I had problems with, both my RS10 and 11's rear rims fractured within 12 months (less than 7,000 miles), and I am not heavy even with a bike weighing 12.5+ kg's it comes in at no more than 90Kg's normally, though I do sometimes carry some stuff on the rear rack its more the exception than the rule, but maybe me perhaps over tightening the spokes, its the only thing I can think of.

I think for me it was a combination of dropping of kerbs and over tightening spokes, that was on my stock wheels, although I also think the dishing was not quite right as my new wheels now sit bang in the middle of the chain stays and shifting is now sweet. Was never right from the day I got the bike, albeit it was not brand new but had hardly any miles on it before I got it.

At least I tend to get over 6,000 miles

If you have been riding over rough surfaces your rims could have become work hardened from the vibration and fractured.
