What's the difference between a Schwalbe Marathon 35-349 and Schwalbe Marathon 37-349 and will they both fit my Brompton rim?

I seem to have bought the former whereas Bromton recommend the latter.

Cheers.

Cheers. I will probably get it then. The seller is offering a pair at a good price.

I still want to check the one on the bike though as I'm sure that says something different.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
According to Schwalbe, they don't make a 37-349, just a 35-349 - both in the standard Marathon and in the Marathon plus. Both certainly fit Bromptons. The 37-349 mentioned on the Brompton website seems to refer to Brompton's own-brand, which are about as durable as an M&S prawn sandwich.

Marathons seem to have a reputation for being a bit fatter than other tyres in the same size.

The Schwalbe Marathon on my Brom is a 37-349 so they must have made them in the past.

I have now accepted the 35-349 and bought a pair of them for £17.50 with £2p&p.

The thing confusing me, also, was seeing HS-308 on the tyre but that is not an issue as the tyre is dead anyway.

Cheers.

Schwalbe are a bit funny on their sizes in bigger widths and I'm guessing this applies at this level as well.

If you but a Marathon Plus at 700x35 the designation on the tyre in actually 37-622 as can be seen here:-

http://www.schwalbe.co.uk/tour/marathon-plus/

whereas as 700x32 is designated 32-622, I think it's all to do with profile at correct pressures or something, they do give an explanation on their website somewhere.
