Ah I see your point, personally I would say anything in an accepted pie form, even pasty type too, encased in pastry ?

Im not, it seemed you meant to describe a pie as in shape or type, I would just go with anything in pastry really:smile:

The Pie is truly a wonderful creation, a couple of weeks ago I was on holiday for a few days in the Yorkshire Dales, there is a butcher in Grassington who makes the most amazing pork pies, and this lot are definately amongst the best when it comes to pie making:

Unfortunately I will not be able to enjoy the pleasures of Pie Week as I am off to Israel this afternoon, a Nation which allows its imaginary friend to victimise the humbe pie, is it any wonder that they cannot get on with their neighbours.:biggrin:

My local baker makes them. Most yummy.

One of our local bakeries does sausage and bean pasties, nice when hot, but not too good cold.

Reminds me, my Scottish friends always regale me with tales of the gastronomic delight that are macaroni cheese pies! I really must try one!:biggrin:
