The Pie is truly a wonderful creation, a couple of weeks ago I was on holiday for a few days in the Yorkshire Dales, there is a butcher in Grassington who makes the most amazing pork pies, and this lot are definately amongst the best when it comes to pie making:

Unfortunately I will not be able to enjoy the pleasures of Pie Week as I am off to Israel this afternoon, a Nation which allows its imaginary friend to victimise the humbe pie, is it any wonder that they cannot get on with their neighbours.

I'm pretty lucky, my uncle owns a bakery and quite often I get a selection of pies to put in the freezer at home. Can't beat a good Meat & Potato pie though!

My local baker makes them. Most yummy.

Reminds me, my Scottish friends always regale me with tales of the gastronomic delight that are macaroni cheese pies! I really must try one!
