I'm envious! My gran made an amzing meat and potato pie, but sadly took the recipe to the grave with her...

I read that as well. By coincidence I have a steak and kidney lined up for tea tomorrow. It will be cooked in an enameled pie tin I got from my grandma, who used to cook a mean rabbit pie in it when I was a kid. And when my mum was a kid too. I still use her yorkshire pudding tins as well.

Do you imply that your dear Grandma 's cooking was only average or that the rabbit was a ba$tard?

Grandma's cooking was bloody great but I never made the acquaintance of said bunnies. My grandad used to curse them for eating his lettuces though. One thing inevitably led to another - revenge is particularly sweet when baked in a pie
