I never rated Joshua, but even so...!

Doubois was powerful, fast with the gloves and clearly a very fast thinker too, barely missing a single chance to lay a glove on AJ.

You could see AJ talking time to think about each move with Doubois super fast mental processing allowed to to have them lined up as fast as his fists could dish them out.

A well deserved win and an embarrassment for AJ, who supposedly wants to exercise the rematch clause in the contract. He'd be a fool if he did.

AJ is just like me when I boxed in the Army. He has the tools but he simply doesn't have the speed of mental processing to beat an incredible all rounder like Dubois.

I looked at a vid of the final knockdown/out..
I had to watch it several times to actually see the one that landed!

His Olympic gold medal and multi millions in the bank suggests he’s one or two levels up from you.
But I agree he’s a big impressive specimen who is probably a bit too old now.

I think it was well worth paying for, but I do pay for quite a few boxing matches.

Not sure I would bother going to watch live at Wembley. It’s such a vast stadium that I find football hard to watch, I can’t imagine how pointless it would be trying to watch a boxing match from that distance.

Although, to be fair, I didn't ask to do it, didn't want to do it, and binned it off as soon as I could.

AJ, one presumes, asked to have a go, wanted to do it, and kept going despite some unpleasant defeats.

Anyone else watch the ‘big fight’ ?

It wasn’t as bad as I’d feared.

Jake played it smart and kept away from Mike in the first two rounds. Mike still has some of his power. And can take shots to the head and body. But he can’t move quickly enough to close the space down and doesn’t have the reflexes anymore. Jake is a heavy slugger and fit but doesn’t have the moves of a boxer. Usyk is in a different league and it would be a straightforward win for him. Jake isn’t going to be able to compete with the best but, would I watch him fight again? … yes.

By the end of the show both fighters had gone up in my estimation.

Any boxer in the super middle or welterweight top 10 would clean out Jake Paul in 2 rounds.
I’d love to see him against someone like Del Boy Chisora.

Chris Billam Smith is fighting tonight.
That’s a proper fight with proper boxers.

When is that supposed to start?

Tyson looked like an old man last night, and if Paul was honestly showing his full talent he would have been sparked out in under a minute by 1988 Mike Tyson.

I know that boxing's always been corrupted by money but it's really sunk to new lows now.
