Congrats to all who rode - when it was far more comfortable not to 🤣🤣

We had a lovely couple of days weather wise: clear sky, barely a drizzle, temperatures around 10 Celsius.
Riding for one's Christmas dinner hasn't been a chore, the commute to work today was lovely too.
At one point there was a scary cleansing truck behind me, but it turned off ^_^

Grey, damp, misty and chilly this morning, but needed the fresh air before spending the afternoon & early evening indoors with the family.
Hard work as my legs were complaining about having to power the extra body weight of way too much dinner the day before.

Plus another 7.5 miles later for the round trip to mum's.

Finally fixed the irritatingly avoidable puncture on the back of Fuji, the bike having sat conspicuously knackered in the kitchen for the past week. I also took the opportunity to wash the wheels at the same time to clean the abrasive gunk off the brake tracks..

Today was the first day in a long time I've felt both physically and mentally capable of doing much, and buoyed by a passable session on the rings this morning I headed out into the mist at about lunchtime for a no-commitment ride round the local lanes.

I only covered about 15 miles but was out for a couple of hours as I'd taken the grown-up camera so stopped frequently to get some lacklustre photos..

It's been ages since I've either been out on the Fuji or on a proper leisure ride, and it felt good both to get out and be reminded of how much I still love this pretty humble yet fantastic bike

@wafter I like those kind of misty shots. The silhouette of the branches against the white is something you don’t get at other times of the year. I feel inspired to get out.
Thanks - it was nice to get out but I was hoping for some perhaps more atmospheric shots and tbh am a bit rusty with the camera.

Taking the camera out on a ride should appeal as it's combining two things I like; however in reality it usually ends up being a bit of a pain.. although ultimately I do appreciate the photos that turn out OK
