As long as it's not as misty & damp as it was round here today I plan to get a few miles in before the family gathering.
I did get a Festive 50k in on Ch****mas Eve just in case

We went over to Wolfsburg yesterday to see the German side of my family, so this morning whilst my wife drove home with the kids and dog I decided to ride home.

Flushed by a recent success with cycle.travel, I decided to ask it to come up with an interesting gravel ride home. I set off into the mist with the thermometer showing a balmy 6°C The next 72,6 km was a fantastic ride through places I had no knowledge of, the mist and solitude making it feel I as if I was alone in the world, adrift in a time and place with no name.

Overall I was really impressed with the route and will definately be riding it again in the future. All told 72,6km, the best part of 90% on gravel and forest roads.
