Chris - I had changed the brake pads on mine after a few hundred miles they were really bad!! the new koolstops have improved breaking a lot now.. a complete new breakset would prob be ideal but cost a lot more...

I love the idea of a seperate fixed wheel bikel, but as surmised while it would be relatively easy to hide a new set of wheels or most other mods from my dearest, she would kinda notice another bike!!
