Before C+ became BikeRadar, a particular group had already decamped elsewhere due to the heavy-handed moderation that emerged on C+. I think many of these originated from a very long-dead forum called Freewheeling, and the uk.rec.cycling newsgroup before that (newsgroups had been crippled by spammers and trolls by the early 2000s, hence forums appeared). They are now mostly on YACF, after a year or two on its predecessor that we don't talk about (worried monkey gif goes here).

Yep or there is a 'Private Message' PM function called Conversations (little envelope next to your username in the 'header')

Thanks. We had PM's over in BR but an alert was easy peasy just add @ before a username.

Yep same here, it'll come up blue once you post it if the 'tag' is successful, @ then no gap to username
