Jonathan M said:Joe, have you considered roof rails and roof mount carriers? OK, hits fuel consumption, and mean you lift the bike up onto the carrier, but while the outlay may seem more than a rear carrier you don't have to faff around with light board etc, which will add maybe £40 to 60 onto the cost.
Good roof carriers are actually the Halfords twin pack, which are just a Thule design from a couple of years ago at a much cheaper price!

I always stuggle putting the cycle carrier on and during the drive i always think its about to fall off the back.

If any part of your bike will cover the rear light clusters or numberplate (even if you think they are still visible through the spokes) I'm afraid you must use a light board.Joe.R said:.. a bike rack for a Peugeot 206... A lot of the ones ive seen are stating I need to add a light board which I dont want to do...
